To Be There for Bumans
Medicaroid aims to develop medical robots that serve and support humans, rather than replacing them. hinotori is as a robotic-assisted surgery system specifically designed to replicate a surgeon’s precise movements, an essential aspect of surgical procedures. This was made possible through Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ 50+ years of cultivated expertise in robot technology and Sysmex Corporation’s network and knowledge in the healthcare field. Medicaroid is committed to open-platform development, aiming to create new features and services to make patient-friendly minimally invasive surgery a reality.

Open operating space in the sterile area
The unique design allows for a compact setup of the operation arms, providing a wide operating space in the sterile area to enhance surgical maneuverability.
Less external collision of robotic arms
Eight-axis operation arms move smoothly, just like human arms. The arm-to-arm and arm-to-assistant intereferences are expected to be reduced to ensure smooth surgery.

More space for the assistant and a wider working range of instrument arms
The software sets the pivot point, which is the fulcrum point of the instrument. The operation arms do not require docking with trocars, ensuring a clear workspace around them.

Vibrant high-definition image
A 4K high-definition 3D system provides a high-quality image to enhance surgical precision.
Ergonomic design for various operating postures
The surgeon cockpit is ergonomically designed to reduce the physical burdens of surgeons.

- A spacious working area within the sterile field
- The system’s compactly arranged surgical arms create ample room in the sterile zone, helping to improve the surgeon’s efficiency.
- Human-like, refined motion – Minimised interference between robotic arms
- The eight-axis surgical arms replicate the fluid movement of human limbs. Their motion is designed to lessen collisions between the robot’s arms or with the assistant, contributing to a more seamless surgical workflow.
- Docking-free architecture – Software-based pivot adjustment
- The instrument’s pivot point is configured digitally, allowing the arms to function without physically docking to the trocars. This keeps the area around the trocar unobstructed and easier to work in.
- Clear, high-resolution visuals
- The full high-vision 3D imaging system delivers crisp, detailed views that support precise surgical work.
- Ergonomic setup for multiple working positions
- The Surgeon Cockpit is crafted with human ergonomics in mind, enabling comfortable operation across a range of postures
