Lecture Abstract
Early Heads-up on Haematuria Using Urine Automation
Urine is a key health barometer for many diseases, mainly UTls, kidney disease and diabetes. An analysis of urine can reveal serious diseases, which do not show symptoms in their early but treatable stages and cause severe damage if they remain undetected. Sound diagnosis is the first important step towards appropriate therapeutic intervention and better patient care!
Anaemia – Early Diagnosis & Monitoring
Anaemia is a global public health issue affecting an estimated third of the world’s population with women and children being of predominant concern. Typically, anaemia symptoms are fatigue, shortness of breath, tachycardia & headache. This may occur mildly but lead to a serious reduction in the individual’s quality of life. In the long term, permanently insufficient oxygen supply caused by untreated anaemia may seriously impair organ function. Also, anaemia could be secondary to many serious ailments & issues. Therefore, detecting pre-anaemiac conditions & diagnosing anaemia in an early phase can facilitate timely intervention to prevent irreversible damage.
