The Importance of the Laboratory Information System and Molecular Investigations

The pathology diagnosis plays a crucial role in clinical management of  breast cancer patients.

In this presentation, an overview will be given on state-of-the-art breast pathology diagnostics; including same day diagnosis, super-specialisation, morphological subtyping, histologic grade, sentinel node status, protein biomarkers and molecular diagnostics, and the role of an optimal workflow including digital pathology and artificial intelligence to support the pathologist.
