Abstract:

The global cancer burden in 2018 was reported at 18.1 million new cases, with cancer related mortality in the same year at 9.6 million deaths.  Solid tumour referrals account for 80% of cancer diagnoses, and the data shows that 75% of patients will not respond to existing therapeutic approaches.

Sysmex invites you to another session of the oncology themed webinars which will focus on some of the solid tumor types received into pathology laboratories. Genetic testing plays an integral role in pathology diagnostic strategies, with FISH testing impacting on many areas of the patient journey, including differential diagnosis and disease staging, prognostication and treatment stratification, and post treatment monitoring.  This talk will also look at the applications of FISH in pathology laboratories including technical and analytical considerations, disease specific diagnostic testing algorithms, interpretation of results, optimisation of technical processes and approaches to reduce analytical and technical burdens in service laboratories.

From now to 31st August, Sysmex is glad to extend the issuance of certificate of participation to those that watch the video and provide your details to us via the survey in the links:
