Dr Mary Sartor, BSc, MSc, PhD. 

 

 

 

Dr Sartor has multiple years of experience in haematology with a major focus in MRD by flow cytometry. Dr Sartor has recently retired from her position as the principal scientist in charge of the flow cytometry laboratory at Westmead Hospital. During her tenure Dr Sartor’s laboratory was the central laboratory for many national and international clinical trials that relied on minimal residual disease determination by flow cytometry to risk stratify patients and to guide treatment. Dr Sartor was also the initiator and convenor of the Australasian Royal College of Pathologist (RCPA) Oncology immunophenotyping program from its inception in 1999 to 2017. Dr Sartor was also a member of the editorial committee for the ACS guidelines for minimal residual disease testing and is currently acting as a clinical/diagnostic flow cytometry consultant at the Children’s Hospital Westmead and Westmead Institute of Medical Research.
