Lecture Abstract

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common genitourinary disorder and constitutes a notable global health concern. Despite its prevalence, achieving an accurate diagnosis of UTI remains complex and can influence clinical management decisions. Recent advancements in urinalysis, particularly the digitalisation of urine microscopy, have enhanced diagnostic precision. Furthermore, the adoption of urine flow cytometry has shown promise in differentiating UTIs and identifying specific bacterial types. Emerging research indicates that integrating urine flow cytometry with digitalised microscopy may further improve diagnostic outcomes.
