As a key person in every aspect of sales administration and distribution management in Sysmex Asia Pacific (SAP) region, by helping to achieve sales and gross profit targets while working closely with senior management, corporate head office and key personnel in each business unit while supporting our Affiliates and distributors.

Responsibilities

Business Partners Management

  • Achieve sales and gross profit target of SAP
  • Responsible for planning and executing sales and marketing activities/ strategies to increase market share and achieve sales and profit objectives (MPA/budget) for assigned countries.
  • Assist distributor with promotional activities and any meetings, seminar, user group meeting or continuous medical education that they could hold in cooperation with Sysmex.
  • Perform market research in areas of competition, prospective clients and potential for new business. Identify and develop new distributors for new business unit.
  • Provide accurate and punctual forecasting reports on a monthly basis and supervise monthly sales reports with review and gap analysis.
  • Providing business administration support, in terms of ensuring proper sales and marketing administration procedures are followed according to company’s policy.
  • Provide information to support campaigns, special pricing and other requests for and by senior management.
  • Educate and partner with distributors/customers to ensure adequate understanding and awareness of our brand direction & effective selling techniques; ensure distributors understand the consumer/customer proposition to offer the appropriate solution.
  • Work closely with supply chains team to ensure our distributors/customers products are delivered and ensure that all sales processes are in compliance.
  • Ensure sales processes are in place and work closely with relevant departments (finance, supply chains, business administration) to align them. For example, proposing new payment terms, new customers, and sales proposal to ensure sales are achieved.
  • Provide support and ensure execution of Sysmex Japan/SAP on special projects on the pricing and contracts offered by our distributors.
  • Ensure all business contracts and agreements are reviewed regularly before management signed and agreed on behalf of Sysmex.
  • Identify and assess potential new distributors in all territories to improve market coverage for all Sysmex products.
  • Take corrective action to improve performance of any distributor should their performance require this or alter their terms and/or terminate their agreement if required.

Key Account Management

    • Work with countries representatives in expanding the business by identifying, selecting and developing potential local accounts and market within the assigned industry.
    • Maintain good client relations with key customer accounts and develop and implement regional key account management. Cultivate contacts with diagnostics industry stakeholders (government, regulatory, key opinion leaders) to ensure Sysmex strategic presence.
    • Support all end-user customers and develop effective sales support strategies to assist and develop relationships.
    • Co-ordinate key customers visit to SAP office or Sysmex Japan to understand Sysmex operation and products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science or related Life Sciences with preferably MBA in general Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience within the IVD industry, preferably with experience in distributor management and tactical planning, implementation and strategic sales
  • Work experience in a clinical/research laboratory / Sales and /or marketing capacity will be an added advantage
  • Medical science and hematology knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously
  • Ability to break down barriers in order to locate and create revenue opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High level of execution, time management, and listening skills
  • Profound knowledge in Marketing and Finance
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities through customer contacts
  • Proven analytic skills with ability to understand complex customer requirements and other related information to produce sound business recommendations
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize opportunities and take decisive action in a timely manner
  • Strong business acumen supported by an appropriate level of confidence and professionalism
  • Strong ability to work across groups to identify opportunities and gain agreement on shared priorities
