Regional Marketing Manager (Clinical Marketing)

Key Job Purposes:

The Clinical Marketing Manager will develop and then assume responsibility for execution of a strategic plan for the clinical marketing components across Sysmex’s strategic growth product lines through partnering with key stakeholders in Scientific Affairs, and Corporate/Product Marketing. They will outline clinical application expansion opportunities for marketing consideration and develop and execute an actionable clinical marketing needs assessment. This individual will assist to identify and support needed clinical studies, and leverage maximum value from influential and meaningful case studies, publications, and presentations of the resulting clinical information. The Clinical Marketing Manager will also maintain a diverse portfolio of strategic clinical relationships, encouraging interest, study, support, and acceptance of Sysmex’s technology and products in the market place for existing and potential applications. A key part of this role will also be to develop influential market messaging from the clinical data and drive distillation messages to key commercial stakeholders.

Summary of Functional Duties & Responsibilities:

(1) Disease State Management & Strategy

  • Translates medial science, technology, & customer requirements to develop the foundational medical scientific marketing/product materials for Disease State promotion.
  • Advise on medical and scientific marketing/product material in conjunction with product marketing. Provide clinical and customer input to internal teams as it related to the use of our products and positioning with key customer groups to support the development of annual marketing plans.
  • Develop high-impact marketing and educational programs, through clinical workshops and disease-based scientific seminars, leading to system and brand conversion
  • Develops appropriate clinical communications (along with marketing communication leader) presence at industry conferences, including conducting interviews, and creating clinically focused presentations.

(2) Business Development

  • Establish strategic initiatives with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support the continuous success of BUs
  • Conducts comprehensive and highly professional Disease State marketing training to all business partners
  • Build relationships across different healthcare industry segments to find new competitive synergies that support mid- and long-term business goals
  • Organize &/or support regional marketing activities such as seminars, trade shows, etc., as needed

(3) Clinical Engagement

  • Representing company in key events, functions and forums related to select key customers, accounts and societies
  • Develops appropriate clinical communications (along with marketing communication leader) presence at industry conferences, including conducting interviews, and creating clinically focused presentations.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with current and future thought leaders in academic and clinical medicine at the local, regional, national, and international level.
  • Identify and develop speakers to participate in programs, symposia, and peer-to-peer educational plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Customer’s awareness and loyalty for various offerings to improve penetration in specific disease state segments.

(4) Cross-Functional Role

  • Collaborate with Scientific Affairs, Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing on building a highly influential medical evidence plan to help clinicians/physicians/surgeons/ understand, accept and recommend products – including differentiation among other competitive brands.
  • Support the creation and delivery of both scientific and clinical product-related presentations, seminars and educational programs to business partners, clinicians, and internal staff ensuring content matches audience need and background.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree or Nursing Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years marketing or MSL experience within the IVD/ Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Proven analytic skills with ability to understand complex market and product data to produce sound business recommendations
  • Ability to analyze & prioritize opportunities and generate proposals further decision-making
  • High level of planning and execution skills
  • Those with work experience in a clinical/research laboratory / Sales and /or marketing capacity will be an added advantage
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly motivated individual with strategic focus, good initiatives, creativity, working attitude and sense of responsibility
  • Self-starter with strategic focus, positive thinking, enthusiastic
  • General working attitude focused on Integrity, Customer-focus, Accountability, Respect, & Excellence
  • Effective team player with a cheerful disposition and open mindedness.
  • Travel frequency: High (50%)
  • Will consider Senior Executive / Asst Manager level with relevant experience
